Living and Growing

Well my feet and hands are swollen like an elephants and well for that matter my hands and belly are too :) But it will all be worth it once our sweet baby boy is here! I can't believe that in only about 5 weeks he will be here! Now most people will say, "Oh no this is your first baby so he will be at least a week late," and blah blah blah, again thanks for your negativity, but actually since my diagnosis of GD my doctor won't let me go that long because well if you know my husband that pretty much says it all. haha, oh yes my love is a big boy and I have a feeling my new love will be a big boy too :) 

Oh and big news, my friend Beth from college, she was actually my roommate and was also my sorority sister, had her baby this past Wednesday! She was early, about 4 weeks, but her blood pressure went up so she had to deliver. It's okay though, all is well, they had a healthy baby boy, and both are doing well!

Okay so after Beth told me on Saturday that all this had happened, I went into panic mode and thought about the million things we needed to do before Hudson made his debut. So yesterday the Hubs and I went to Babies-R-Us, and finished getting essentials. And now I think we are officially ready for baby! I am praying for peace right now and ask that you do the same for me. I have failed my glucose test and am officially diagnosed with gestational diabetes. My heart is crushed but my Lord is good and mighty, He promises to give peace.

Showered with Love

This past weekend was so much fun! CJ and I were showered with love by our dear friends, at not one but two baby showers for our sweet Hudson! I went to Athens on Friday afternoon after a much needed haircut. I got to go see my momma and show her Hudson's bedding that she so generously bought for his room! It had arrived while we were in San Antonio just in time for my shower! On Friday night we watched Brock play baseball

Saturday morning was my first shower and it was amazing! My hostesses really outdid themselves and it was beyond anything I could have imagined.

The cake was amazing, thanks to the Cherry Laurel as always :)

I had a great time at both showers and was very excited to show off my growing belly, visit with dear sweet friends, and to get to hug on some necks that I haven't seen in a while! Your kindness towards me is more than any one person deserves, especially me. I am truly blessed by our family and dear friends that the Lord has placed in our lives.

This past week CJ and I took our last vacation as just a young married, childless (at least no child on the outside yet) couple. CJ has been wanting to go to San Antonio for the last 3 years so that's where we decided to go.

On our way there we stopped in West, Texas and got breakfast from one of CJ's favorite Czech bakeries

We had a great time together and even though Hudson isn't here yet, we kept saying, "Oh Hudson would love this," and "We have to bring Hudson here or do this or this with him," He is already the light of our lives. We can't wait for him to finally be here!

A Month in a Post

Sorry I haven't been as up-to-date as I would like to be, but anyone who has ever been pregnant and working full time knows that the spare time I do have is devoted priorities, i.e. my quiet time, spending time with my sweet hubby, spending time with my sweet friends, and relaxing while I still have the chance. So here is the progress we have made since the last post.

We are so blessed and excited to have made it to this point with a healthy momma and a healthy baby. Please continue to pray for both me and our sweet Hudson, I have to go back this week b/c I failed my first glucose test and have to do the long 3 hr. test now :(

We are getting antsy to meet this little man. It won't be long now!

Happy 53rd and 16th Birthday

Well this is about a month old now, but I just didn't have a chance to put up any pictures of my sweet momma's 53rd birthday and my little brother's 16th birthday. You see they get to share their special day with each other, April 20 is both of their birthdays! Isn't that uber fun? This year we all, Courtney, Jason, Brock, Brant, Allie, Mom, Carter, CJ, and I, went to a Ranger's game to celebrate! We had a lot of fun even though the silly Ranger's lost that night :( Here are some pictures of the fun we had!
